Sew and embroider on one machine — the Baby Lock Accord makes the leap into embroidery genuinely easy.

The Baby Lock Accord (model BLMCC) is a combination sewing and embroidery machine built for the sewist who is ready to add embroidery to their skill set without stepping up to a studio-sized machine. It arrives with 141 built-in embroidery designs, 13 built-in fonts and 250 built-in stitches, so there is a great deal to explore straight out of the box. A 3.2" x 1.8" Color Touch LCD screen puts design selection, stitch selection and editing under your fingertip rather than buried in a button menu.

What sets the Accord apart in its price class is the included 5" x 12" Multi-Position hoop. Most machines in this range top out at a 5" x 7" embroidery field, and the Accord will embroider up to that size in a single pass — but the Multi-Position hoop lets you re-position the fabric within the hoop to stitch long borders, sashes and name banners without re-hooping from scratch. Add the advanced needle threader, automatic thread cutter, Quick-Set top-loading bobbin and hands-free presser foot lift, and the day-to-day mechanics simply stay out of your way. The Accord is a discontinued model, so remaining availability is limited.

• Advanced needle threader and automatic thread cutter
• Quick-Set top-loading bobbin with Quick-Set bobbin winder

✨ 10 Benefits of Owning the Baby Lock Accord:

• One machine handles both sewing and embroidery, so you are not buying and storing two
• The Multi-Position hoop lets you stitch borders and long designs with far less re-hooping
• 141 designs and 13 fonts mean you can start personalizing gifts the first evening you own it
• The touch screen makes editing, resizing and repositioning designs intuitive rather than technical
• The advanced needle threader removes the single most frustrating step in machine embroidery
• Automatic thread cutting keeps the back of your work tidy and saves constant snipping
• Thread sensors stop the machine before you stitch a design out with no thread
• The Quick-Set bobbin drops in without a fiddly pull-through, so refills take seconds
• At 20 lbs the machine is genuinely portable for classes, retreats and guild days
• The USB port lets you load purchased or self-digitized designs from a flash drive

The Multi-Position hoop deserves a closer look. Rather than clamping your fabric once and being limited to a single 5" x 7" stitch area, the 5" x 12" hoop holds the fabric in place while the embroidery unit works across multiple positions along its length. The result is a continuous 12" run of embroidery with the alignment handled for you. For quilt labels, table runners, towel borders and children's name banners, that single feature changes what the machine can realistically produce.

Perfect for the sewist who already sews confidently and now wants embroidery, the quilter who wants to add labels and appliqué to finished work, the gift-maker personalizing towels and baby items, and anyone who needs a capable combination machine that is light enough to carry to class. It is a strong choice for a first embroidery machine and a sensible second machine for someone whose main machine is a dedicated quilter.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Is the Accord a sewing machine, an embroidery machine, or both?
A: Both. It is a true combination machine with 250 built-in sewing stitches and 141 built-in embroidery designs. The embroidery unit attaches when you want to embroider and comes off when you want to sew.

Q: How large a design can it embroider?
A: The maximum embroidery field is 5" x 7" in a single stitch-out. The included 5" x 12" Multi-Position hoop extends that to a 12" run by embroidering in stages without re-hooping the fabric.

Q: How many hoops are included?
A: Two hoops are included, one of which is the 5" x 12" Multi-Position hoop. Additional hoop sizes and a magnetic frame are available separately.

Q: How fast does it embroider?
A: Up to 650 stitches per minute.

Q: Can I use my own designs?
A: Yes. The Accord has a USB Type A port, so you can load embroidery files from a flash drive alongside the 141 designs already built in.

Q: How heavy is it?
A: The machine alone is 20 lbs, and 24.35 lbs with the embroidery unit attached. It measures 17 1/2" wide, 8 3/16" deep and 11 3/4" high, which makes it practical to transport.

Q: Is an extension table available?
A: Yes. Baby Lock makes a 19" x 11" extension table specifically for the Accord, sold separately, which is worth having if you quilt.

Q: The Accord is discontinued — can I still get parts, feet and service?
A: Yes. Baby Lock accessories, presser feet, hoops and bobbin cases for the Accord remain available, and our service department in Redwood City services Baby Lock machines regardless of model year.
